FE-AGA8-92DC, Ver 2.10 is a program for 32-bit MS Windows. FE-AGA8-92DC calculates the following properties of a natural gas mixture: 1. Compression factor at base conditions 2. Mass density at base conditions 3. Molar density at base conditions 4. Compression factor at operating conditions 5. Mass density at operating conditions 6. Molar density at operating conditions 7. Supercompressibility factor 8. Mixture molar mass 9. Relative density at 0 °C and 1.01325 bar 10. Relative density at 15 °C and 1.01325 bar 11. Relative density at 20 °C and 1.01325 bar 12. Superior calorific value (25°C/0°C/1.01325bar) The calculations are completely in accordance with: 1. Starling, K.E., Savidge, J.L.: Compressibility Factors for Natural Gas and Other Hydrocarbon Gases", American Gas Association (AGA) Transmission Measurement Committee Report No. 8, American Petroleum Institute (API) MpMS, chapter 14.2, second edition, November 1992. 2. ISO 12213: Natural gas - Calculation of Compression factor Part1: Introduction and guidelines Part2: Calculation using molar-composition analysis The calculation of relative density, superior calorific value and the conversion of volume and mass fractions into mole fractions are in accordance with: 3. ISO 6976: Natural gas - calculation of calorific values, density, relative density and Wobbe index from composition RANGES OF APPLICATION The following are the wider ranges of application for compression factor calculation with the FE-AGA8-92DC (ISO-12213-2): Absolute Pressure [psia] 0.1Pa to 65 MPa Temperature [F] 225 to 350 K Relative Density [] 0.55 to 0.90 Superior Calorific Value [BTU/ft^3] 20 to 48 MJ/m^3) Mole percent ranges: Methane [%] 50 to 100 Nitrogen [%] 0 to 50 Carbon dioxide [%] 0 to 30 Ethane [%] 0 to 20 Propane [%] 0 to 5 Water [%] 0 to 0.015 Hydrogen Sulfide [%] 0 to 0.02 Hydrogen [%] 0 to 10 Carbon Monoxide [%] 0 to 3 Oxigen [%] 0 to 0.02 i-Butane + n-Butane [%] 0 to 1.5 i-Pentane + n-Pentane [%] 0 to 0.5 n-Hexane [%] 0 t0 0.1 n-Heptane [%] 0 to 0.05 n-Octane + n-Nonane + n-Octane [%] 0 to 0.05 Helium [%] 0 to 0.5 Argon [%] 0 to 0.02 INSTALLATION: Download "fe_92DC.exe" a self-extracting demo program. Run "fe_92DC.exe" and follow the on-screen instructions. The default folder for installation is c:\ProgramFiles\fe_92DC. RUN FE-AGA8-92DC: After completing the installation run the program using the 'Start' menu of your task bar or double click the fe_aga8_92DC.exe from your Windows Explorer. ENTER DATA: Note: In a demo version the Methane fraction textbox can not be changed. After registering at http://order.kagi.com/?ZQU you will receive the registration data with which you will be able to unlock the Methane textbox. To enter the parameter just click on the corresponding textbox and type. Before entering the values for pressure and temperature select the corresponding unit at the right side of the parameter. START THE CALCULATION: To start the calculation select 'Run' from 'Start' menu of your FE-AGA8-92DC menu bar. FILE SAVE: To save the file select 'Save As' from FE-AGA8-92DC 'File' menu. The default file extension is '.a92' FILE OPEN: To open the existing file select 'Open' from FE-AGA8-92DC 'File' menu. FILE PRINT: To print the results of the calculation to your system printer select 'Print' from FE-AGA8-92DC 'File' menu. PRINT ASCII TO FILE: To print the calculation results into ASCII file select 'Print ASCII to File' from FE-AGA8-92DC 'File' menu. RESULTS OF CALCULATION: FE-AGA8-92 calculates the parameters of a natural gas mixture at base and operating conditions (pressure & temperature). The range of base and operating pressure varies from 0 MPa to 65 MPa (0 to 650 bar). The range of base and operating temperature varies from 225 K to 350 K (-48.15°C to 76.85°C). You can select the proper unit for pressure (among 24 available units) and temperature (among 4 available units). The units of output parameters can also be changed. The following parameters are calculated: 1. Superior calorific value (25°C/0°C/1.01325bar) From the right side of the parameter select the preferable unit. REGISTRATION: To convert your FE-AGA8-92DC demo program into fully functional version you need to register at: http://order.kagi.com/cgi-bin/store.cgi?storeID=ZQU.
