FE-ISO20765_1 Ver 1.01, Apr 06, 2008 FE-ISO20765_1 is a program for MS Windows. FE-ISO20765_1 calculates the properties of a natural gas mixture in accordance with: 1. International standard ISO-20765-1:2005: Natural gas - Calculation of thermodynamic properties - Part 1: Gas phase properties for transmission and distribution applications 2. International standard ISO-12213-2:1997: Natural gas - Calculation of compression factor - Part1: Introduction and guidelines Part2: Calculation using molar-composition analysis 3. ISO-6976/1995, TC-2/1997 and TC-3/1999: Natural gas - Calculation of calorific values, density and Wobbe index from composition. RANGES OF APPLICATION The following are the ranges of application for the natural gas properties in accordance with FE_ISO20765_1 (ISO-20765-1:2005): Absolute Pressure [psia] 0.1Pa to 30 MPa Temperature [F] 250 to 350 K Relative Density [] 0.55 to 0.90 Superior Calorific Value [BTU/ft^3] 20 to 48 MJ/m^3) Mole percent ranges: Methane [%] 70 to 100 Nitrogen [%] 0 to 20 Carbon dioxide [%] 0 to 20 Ethane [%] 0 to 10 Propane [%] 0 to 3.5 Water [%] 0 to 0.015 Hydrogen Sulfide [%] 0 to 0.02 Hydrogen [%] 0 to 10 Carbon Monoxide [%] 0 to 3 Oxigen [%] 0 to 0.02 i-Butane + n-Butane [%] 0 to 1.5 i-Pentane + n-Pentane [%] 0 to 0.5 n-Hexane [%] 0 t0 0.1 n-Heptane [%] 0 to 0.05 n-Octane + n-Nonane + n-Octane [%] 0 to 0.05 Helium [%] 0 to 0.5 Argon [%] 0 to 0.02 INSTALLATION: Download the latest version of "fe_20765.exe" a self-extracting demo program from 'http://www.felib.com'. Run "fe_20765.exe" and follow the on-screen instructions. The default folder for installation is c:\ProgramFiles\fe_iso20765_1. RUN FE-ISO20765_1: After completing the installation run the program using the 'Start' menu of your task bar or double click the fe_iso20765_1.exe from your Windows Explorer. ENTER DATA: Note: In a demo version the Methane fraction textbox can not be changed. After registering at http://order.kagi.com/?ZQU you will receive the registration data with which you will be able to unlock the Methane textbox. To enter the parameter just click on the corresponding textbox and type. START THE CALCULATION: To start the calculation select 'Run' from 'Start' menu of your FE-ISO20765_1 menu bar. FILE SAVE: To save the file select 'Save As' from FE-ISO20765_1 'File' menu. The default file extension is '.a92' FILE OPEN: To open the existing file select 'Open' from FE-ISO20765_1 'File' menu. FILE PRINT: To print the results of the calculation to your system printer select 'Print' from FE-ISO20765_1 'File' menu. PRINT ASCII TO FILE: To print the calculation results into ASCII file select 'Print ASCII to File' from FE-ISO20765_1 'File' menu. RESULTS OF CALCULATION: For the given, pressure in MPa, temperature in K and the natural gas mixture analysis (molar, volume or mass fractions) the FE-ISO20765_1 calculates the corresponding natural gas properties. 1. Compression 2. Density [kg/m3] 3. Molar density [kmol(m3] 4. Molar mass [kg/kmol] 5. Relative density at 273.15 K and 0.101325 MPa 6. Superior calorific value on a volumetric basis at (298.15K/273.15K/1.01325bar) [MJ*m3] 7. Molar internal energy [kJ/kmol] 8. Specific internal energy [kJ/kg] 9. Molar enthalpy [kJ/kmol] 10. Specific enthalpy [kJ/kg] 11. Molar entropy [kJ/(kmol K)] 12. Specific entropy [kJ/(kg K)] 13. Molar isochoric heat capacity [kJ/(kmol K)] 14. Specific isochoric heat capacity [kJ/(kg K)] 15. Molar isobaric heat capacity [kJ/(kmol K)] 16. Specific isobaric heat capacity [kJ/(kg K)] 17. Joule-Thomson coefficient [K/MPa] 18. Isentropic exponent 19. Speed of sound [m/s] REGISTRATION: To convert your FE-ISO20765_1 demo program into fully functional version you need to register at: http://order.kagi.com/cgi-bin/store.cgi?storeID=ZQU.
