FE_SGERG_88, Ver 1.20 is a program for 32-bit MS Windows. FE-SGERG-88 calculates the following properties of a natural gas mixture: 1. Compression factor 2. Molar density 3. Mass density 4. Gas mixture molar mass The calculations are completely in accordance with: ISO 12213: Natural gas - Calculation of Compression factor - Part1: Introduction and guidelines - Part3: Calculation using physical properties The relative density and the superior calorific value can be given at any reference conditions specified in: ISO 6976: Natural gas - calculation of calorific values, density, relative density and Wobbe index from composition INSTALLATION: Download "fe_sgerg.exe" a self-extracting demo program. Run "fe_sgerg.exe" and follow the on-screen instructions. The default folder for installation is c:\ProgramFiles\fe_sgerg_88. RUN FE-SGERG-88: After completing the installation run the program using the 'Start' menu of your task bar or double click the fe_sgerg_88.exe from your Windows Explorer. ENTER DATA: Note: In a demo version the pressure textbox can not be changed. After registering at http://order.kagi.com/?ZQU you will receive the registration data with which you will be able to unlock the pressure textbox. To enter the parameter just click on the corresponding textbox and type. Before entering the values for pressure and temperature select the corresponding unit at the right side of the parameter. Also select the corresponding reference conditions before entereing the superior calorific value and relative density. START THE CALCULATION: To start the calculation select 'Run' from 'Start' menu of your FE-SGERG-88 menu bar. The error report will be displayed in "Error report" textbox. If "No errors" was displayed the calculation ended successfully. FILE SAVE: To save the file select 'Save As' from FE-SGERG-88 'File' menu. The default file extension is '.sge' FILE OPEN: To open the existing file select 'Open' from FE-SGERG-88 'File' menu. FILE PRINT: To print the results of the calculation to your system printer select 'Print' from FE-SGERG-88 'File' menu. PRINT ASCII TO FILE: To print the calculation results into ASCII file select 'Print ASCII to File' from FE-SGERG-88 'File' menu. RESULTS OF CALCULATION: FE-SGERG-88 calculates the parameters of a natural gas mixture at operating conditions (pressure & temperature). The range of operating pressure varies from 0.1 Pa to 12 MPa (0.000001 to 120 bar). The range of operating temperature varies from 263 K to 338 K (-10.15°C to 64.85°C). You can select the proper unit for pressure (among 24 available units) and temperature (among 4 available units). You can also enter the superior calorific value and relative density at any reference conditions specified in ISO-6976. The units of output parameters can also be changed. The following parameters are calculated: 1. Compression factor at operating conditions 2. Molar density at operating conditions (selection among 2 units) 3. Mass density at operating conditions (selection among 10 units) 4. Gas mixture molar mass From the right side of the parameter select the preferable unit.
